1 to 3 yrs.: 1/2 cup
4 to 8 yrs.: 1/2 cup
9 to 13 yrs.: 1 cup

Others
14 yrs. to adult: 1 cup

Smoothie
1 cup fruit sauce
1 cup 1% milk
1 cup seltzer

Liquefy the frozen fruit sauce in a blender with 1 cup of milk and 1 cup of seltzer. Blend until smooth. Serve immediately. Makes 3 cups of smoothie.

You can replace milk and seltzer with 2 cups of milk for a milkshake.

Fruity Cheese Snack
1 cup fruit sauce
1 cup 1% cottage cheese
1/2 cup 1% milk
1 pkg. (7 g) of gelatin

Add gelatin to milk. Heat in the microwave for 30 to 45 seconds on high until gelatin is dissolved. Add the milk and gelatin to cottage cheese in a blender. Blend until smooth. Add the fruit sauce. Blend again. Pour the mixture into small containers. Leave to set in the refrigerator. Serve cold. Makes 2-1/2 cups.

This fruity cheese snack is a good source of protein and calcium and is low in fat, saturated fat and cholesterol.

Serving Idea

  • Cut this fruity cheese snack into squares to serve with plain yogurt.
  • Top cut squares with a swirl of our fruit sauce or whole blueberries.
